About the Norma Nora Foundation
A Legacy of Love. A Commitment to Service.
The Norma Nora Foundation (NNF) was created in loving memory of Norma Nora Scott—a remarkable mother, wife, friend, and woman whose life was defined by compassion, generosity, elegance, and an unwavering desire to help others.
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Norma later moved to Port Antonio, Portland, where she met and married Desmond St. Albert Scott and raised their two daughters, Theresa and Yvette.
Norma believed deeply in the importance of education, community, kindness, and giving back. She lived with style and grace, but it was the way she cared for people that left her greatest impression.
Following her passing on August 19, 2020, her daughters, Theresa White and Yvette Phillip, made a commitment to ensure that the values she lived by would continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
From that commitment, the Norma Nora Foundation was born.
Our Mission
The mission of the Norma Nora Foundation is to empower young people, strengthen communities, and create meaningful opportunities through education, athletics, mentorship, and charitable giving, with a special commitment to communities in Jamaica.
We believe that when young people are given the resources, encouragement, and opportunity to succeed, the impact extends far beyond one individual—it strengthens families and transforms communities.
Our Impact
The Foundation is especially proud of its ongoing relationship with Titchfield High School in Port Antonio, Jamaica, supporting initiatives that help students excel both academically and athletically.
In 2025, the Norma Nora Foundation donated US$10,000 to Titchfield High School, continuing our commitment to investing in the next generation.
In 2026, the Foundation expanded its support of student athletics by sponsoring the Titchfield High School track team’s participation in the Miami Open Track & Field Classic in Coral Gables, Florida, giving young Jamaican athletes an opportunity to compete internationally and broaden their experiences beyond the classroom.
Our work continues to grow as we seek meaningful ways to support education, athletics, youth development, and communities in need.
Sip & Style: Celebrating Her Legacy
One of the Foundation’s signature fundraising events is Sip & Style, an elegant afternoon bringing together fashion, entertainment, philanthropy, and community.
What began as an intimate celebration following Norma’s passing has evolved into something much greater—a joyful way to honor a woman who loved fashion, travel, family, friendship, and helping others.
Sip & Style reminds us that while the Foundation was born from loss, its story is ultimately about love, joy, service, and legacy.
Every guest who attends, every sponsor who contributes, every volunteer who gives their time, and every donor who supports our mission becomes part of Norma’s continuing story.
Her Legacy Lives On
Norma Nora Scott taught us that a meaningful life is not measured simply by what we acquire, but by what we give, whom we help, and what we leave behind for others.
Through every student supported, every athlete encouraged, every family helped, and every community touched, her spirit continues to live.
Her life inspired us.
Her love guides us.
Her legacy moves us forward.
Together, we honor her memory by continuing what she did so naturally—giving back.
